Day 5: Light Green Giveaway and Yellow Winner

Today is light green day! I'll be back later on to pick and post the yellow winner (actually, today is my day to volunteer at preschool, so "morning" may be more like lunchtime...we'll see!).

But first, the yellow bundle winner!
Mr. Random made it easy on me today, since I haven't had a chance to check out Marelize's link to fix my numbering issue. The winner is Crickets Corner, who said: "That was last year on Christmas Eve. At about 10 in the morning I decided to make my sister a reversable apron for our Christmas Eve gift opening. She loved it!"

In light of the question it seems appropriate that the winner should be someone who was very last minute last year!
Crickets Corner, I've sent you an email to get your mailing address.

Here is the light green bundle. Truly an eclectic mix!

To enter to win it, simply leave a comment telling me the one thing you'd LOVE to have for your sewing room/space. The giveaway will remain open until 11:59 EST tonight (December 6th). I'll post the winner's name tomorrow, along with the dark green bundle photo and question. This giveaway is now closed. Click here to enter the dark green giveaway.
Good luck!

By the way, I usually try to respond to every comment I receive, because I love receiving them. It's wonderful to know I'm not doing all this writing and picture taking just for myself! But, there are ALOT of comments (which is great) because of these giveaways, and I have ALOT on my Christmas to-do list, so I have decided not to reply individually to the contest entry comments. But I am definitely still reading them, and really enjoying all of the different responses! All of you who are already done (December 5th!) with your holiday sewing, I'm impressed! Those of you who are still sewing an hour before the gift exchange, I feel your pain/determination. You can do it! :) And to those who have wrapped up a quilt top with an IOU note attached, I've been there, done that.
p.s. If you're wondering what this is all about, read my original post here. And then stop by tomorrow for the dark green giveaway!

  3. First, I would love a sewing space. :) In my little corner, it would be great to have a nice sewing machine desk with drawers.

  4. I want a sewing table that is flush with the machine (and HUGE)... Definitely huge. :)

  5. Hmmm, I am very lucky. I've got pretty much everything, even a space heater to keep my toes warm! The one thing I'd like is more time in it!

  6. I would love to have a huge, sturdy cutting table... oh, and a longarm to go with it :-)

  9. I would love to have more shelving to get my treasures up off of the floor!

  10. I would love to have a extra table for cutting.

  11. I think I'd just like it to be a sewing space instead of the clothes, shoes, printer and electrical cpboard. It is a closet-sewing room :) Small.

  12. The one thing I would love to have in my sewing space is more room. I can barely move from my sewing machine to my cutting table and there is barely any available storage. So I just need a better designed and roomier space.

  13. I would love to have a room! I am currently sewing in the guest bedroom!

  14. I'd love space for a design wall! Currently I use the floor and stand on a chair !

  15. I would love a long arm quilter but first I need a much larger space, my everloving is planning on extending our conservatory next summer, that will become the Kitchen Diner and the old one will be my new sewing room. WOOHOO

  16. I would like to replace my 40 year old sewing machine! And I know it sounds greedy, but a nice, big cutting table would be awesome.

  17. I was lucky enough to makde a new sewing room this year and bought a new sewing machine. The only thing a think would be nice would be a second sewing machine so I could sew with one and leave one for machine qujilting. My old sewing machine is getting really loud.

  18. I don't have a sewing room. My cutting table is in that room, my fabrics are there & there, and my sewing machine is here. But I'd love a design wall. Right now I use my spare bed but it would be nice to have a vertical surface. Thanks.

  19. I'd love to have a great big table smack dab in the middle (sadly the room isn't big enough for that).

A more realistic item? A set of shelves for all my fabric.

  20. I'd love to have more time in my sewing room! Other than that I would like a better lighting system for the whole room. Looking forward to Christmas holidays for family and sewing time.

  21. I'd like to not have to use my sewing room as guest room too. Without the full size bed I'd have a lot more room to work.

  22. More open storage for fabric and someone who comes in and straightens/reorganizes it once a month.

  23. I think I have everything I need. Recently a woman told me about a saddle chair that she uses. It takes away the pressure in her neck and shoulders. I may have to try one of those after Christmas.

  25. Well, first I would like a bigger sewing space. Then one of those really awesome antique/repurposed hutch/dressers. Maybe in light lime green with purple trim. Glass door storage on top and some nice drawers on the bottom.

  29. I`d love a quilting machine to quilting all my tops.
Green is my favorite color.I`ll cross my fingers and toes.

  30. I would love to HAVE a sewing room-nook, where I don't have to move everything to get through the room. At least I have a machine.

  31. I would love to have a design wall.

  32. I would love to have room for a table to sit at when I am not sewing at the machine. My cutting table is too high, so I have to stand!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I would love a large, low table for my sewing machine. Big enough so that when I am quilting I won't have to deal with trying to hold the quilt up so it doesn't hang down onto the floor and pull against the needle. But really, I would really love to have a longarm but, since 62 is quickly approaching, it is not likely to happen.

  39. I'd love a real sewing cabinet for my machine instead of the old desk I use now.

  40. I can sew under just about any condition including a small space and machine on a desk but I would like a better lighting system so I can sew into the wee hours. What can I say; I'm a night owl.

  41. Is it fair to say I just want a sewing room/space at this time!?! I know I sound like a broken record, but since I just moved and I work full time and am now taking care of my 90 year old father, I haven't gotten around to making that special place for myself to dive in and do some stitch therapy. Which as you can probably imagine I desparately NEED!
