First, the light green winner:
Lori, who said: "I'd like to not have to use my sewing room as guest room too. Without the full size bed I'd have a lot more room to work."
Congratulations, Lori! I've sent you an email to get your mailing address.

ReplyDeleteMy best gift was 2 Red Poll cows about 10 years ago!
I had a stalker that gave me tickets to a Norah Jones concert for my B-day. I sent them back to him! What was I thinking!? But 2 years later my sweetie took me to see her!
ReplyDeleteOh there's no question about this one, it was this year on MY birthday, when my husband gave me both my sewing machine and over-locker, both Bernina... which I think he might regret a little, LOL, since then every spare sent we have I spend on fabric, he he he
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was born on my birthday. She was 2 weeks early, so we were all a bit surprised, but definitely my best present ever. Thanks for the opportunity on the draw.
ReplyDeleteThis year I turned 50 and my brother (whose birthday is the same day as mine but he's 8 years older!) gave me a voucher for a spa treatment (facial and full body massage) followed by lunch with him. It was a lovely day out and something to remember my 50th by!
ReplyDeleteFor my 30th birthday (well, a few weeks before it since my b-day is christmas eve) my hubby threw me a surprise party. I had NO CLUE. It's the only surprise party I've ever had.
ReplyDeleteThe best birthday gift was my granddaughter Alexis. She stretched out delivery for two more days so she could also be my mom's gift and still have her own day. Being present during her birth was a glorious belated birthday present!
ReplyDeleteBest birthday present was given to me by my mom - a pewter button picture frame which was made from real cast buttons! Just before she went through chemo she managed to go shopping and bought it for my 26th birthday knowing I LOVE buttons. Mom passed away a month after my birthday so it is a really special picture frame.
ReplyDeleteMy husband never gives me gifts but one year he snuck a present under the tree for me. It was a beautiful jewerly box!

MY best birthday was my 50th. All my children and grandchildren were home to celebrate with me.
ReplyDeleteThe best birthday gift I received was the original Kindle. My husband kept it a secret from me so I was very surprised. Our sons were in on the surprise so I felt very blessed.
ReplyDeleteWhen my youngest was away at college she thought we were not going to make it to see her for her birthday. I ordered pizza and pop to be delivered to her dorm floor for all her friends. She thought that was it. I had a cake delivered and instead of candles, I had rolled up and taped five dollar bills (19) of them. Then right after the cake was brought in we came in. She was so happy to see us and said it was the best birthday ever.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Jenn! My husband used to always give me tickets to see a game opening weekend for the Atlanta Braves. Although the gift may have been as much for him as me, we always had a wonderful time on those memorable trips :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Jenn. The best gift I have ever given was to my DH. It was a flight in an airplane like he flew when he was a Navy pilot.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Jen!!My DH gifted with my first digital camera.
ReplyDeleteBest birthday present ever received: maybe my acoustic gitar. (best Christmas present would have been a lot easier: my second cat).
ReplyDeleteBest birthday gift ever was going to a tiki restaurant that I didn't know still existed! My husband went to a lot of trouble to find it (it's over an hour's drive away). :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I'd have to say it was my engagement ring from my husband. That was over 44 years ago - in June 2013 it'll be 45 years!! Wow, can it be?!!?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Jen! My best Birthday surprise was my son and his family arriving from Toronto Canada! My GD (6) picked out the cake, all pink and green with lots of gooey decorations. Thank you for the great giveaway. jbechosend at sbcglobal dot net
ReplyDeleteI believe that the best birthday gift I've received is my Viking Designer 1. (Gotta love that DH of mine)

I can't remember a special birthday gift as we usually don't do anything except say Happy Birthday and go out to dinner but this year we did pull off a great birthday surprise for my niece. It was her 25th, because of business trip she was four hours away from the family, alone and stuck in a hotel room with no one to take her out to dinner. I called the whole family and laid out my plan, lets drive down and surprise her. We left very early the next morning and drove the four hours. The hotel manager helped us by going to the room on some excuse while we all hid against the walls. When she opened the door and we jumped out saying Happy Birthday she freaked! It was perfect! She started crying and just kept saying, "Best Birthday EVER!"
ReplyDeleteThe best birthday gift I ever received was for my 13th birthday. My mom took me to the movie theater to see Sound of Music. The thing that was awesome about that was our church frowned on attending movie theaters. I will always remember it.
ReplyDeleteMy best gift was receiving my first sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteMy best gift was a full length mirror. And congrats to my mom for winning the light green box!!
ReplyDeleteA trip to NYC to visit my kids!
ReplyDeletemy hubby got me my new sewing machine last year
ReplyDeleteMy best birthday gift was given to me by a bunch of my friends many, many years ago. They hired a hunky male dancer to dance for me at the night club we used to frequent. I was sitting on a chair in the middle of the dance floor while the dancer did his thing. Oh my, was I ever embarrassed, but I sure enjoyed it. : )
ReplyDeleteMy best birthday gift was my oldest daughter treating me to a fantastic breakfast out with Mamosas, and then a pedi/manicure. I felt like royalty!
