ZuZu Squares 2 is done!

I've finished my September One Monthly Goal, and just in time! My second version of ZuZu Squares is quilted and bound. I'm excited to be teaching this pattern at Bernina Sewing Center and Quilt Shop in Kalamazoo on Tuesday, November 5th.

My first ZuZu Squares quilt was machine quilted by the talented Diane Oakes. I decided to quilt this one myself. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it.

Here are some block close-ups:

Gotta love a striped binding!

Such a fun burst of color, isn't it? The quilt is made using improv piecing techniques. I've pieced the black and white skinny strip, but you can use a printed stripe (or other fabric) if you prefer.
