January Goal: Finish the stockings!

I have seen the "A Year of Lovely Finishes" button popping up on many blogs, and I've decided to jump on board! I work soooo much better with a deadline or peer/public pressure breathing down my neck (bonus points for both)!

And first up, for January, are my boys' stockings.
Here's where they stand right now:
I need to add a few more quilting lines to the blue one and then piece the cuffs and assemble. Not too much to do, and I already stated in an earlier post that it would be my first project for January.

But then that little voice in the back of my head keeps saying, "Well, the boys really don't need those until next December..." and "Aren't you sick of Christmas colors?" (Yes!) and "There's no harm in pushing those off for a bit. You can do them in July." (Yeah, right.)

So I'm throwing down the gauntlet and making these stockings my official goal for January.

  1. More power to you, then they'll be waiting happily for you come Christmas time and it will be one less thing to do last minute. :)

  2. Good for you. Seriously, I'm not making any UFO goals this year. I have too many to do lists at work to worry about. I can't handle it at home, too. It stresses me out too much. But I'm here to cheer you on! You go, girl!
